Avoid alcohol and caffeine
Unlike water, coffee and most alcohols are major No-Nos when we’re dealing with chronic migraines. Not only do they lead to dehydration, the caffeine and alcohol themselves are common migraine triggers in and of themselves.

Red wine, in particular, is a common offender but other alcohols, both lighter and stronger are ill-advised as well. In addition, alcohol and coffee are diuretics, which can quickly lead to dehydration and worsen your migraines.
