Take magnesium, vitamins, and certain other supplements
We won’t go into specific medications as that’s your physician’s job, but certain vitamins and supplements are known to be helpful against migraines. According to the American Migraine Foundation (8), 400 to 500 mg of magnesium per day is very useful for preventing migraines as is the daily intake of vitamins B-2 and D.
Melatonin is also useful according to a study in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry (9) as is Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). Make sure to use quality supplements.
