5 Lifestyle Changes That Will Help You Lose Weight

2. Drink Up!

Undoubtedly, your body needs more water. Our culture has a habit of drinking way less water than our bodies want. Often, you may think that you’re hungry when actually your body just needs water.

Start carrying a water bottle around with you so that you’re reminded to drink water constantly.

Even better, choose a bottle that allows you to measure how much water you drink so you can make sure to get enough water in your system each day!

3. Buy (And Eat) More Produce

In the U.S., we eat very little fresh fruits and veggies, even though we know how good they are for us!

Choosing to consume more plant-based foods will help you to cut out many of the foods that are preventing you from losing weight.

For instance, a healthy fruit smoothie makes a much leaner breakfast than a bowl of sugary cereal.

The point is not that you need to be a vegetarian or a vegan, but simply that you have to get more healthy, natural foods into your diet.

Many of the meat or dairy-based dishes that we eat are full of the unhealthy fats that cause you to actually gain more weight, so choosing plants instead is an easy way to avoid those fatty foods.
