Do you practice a daily positive energy meditation?
When life gets you down, there’s nothing better to set you back onto the right track.
Sometimes we get so down from every day stresses that it’s difficult to see past the immediate challenges. Meditation is a great tool to put things into perspective and get inspired to push through.
The Deal on Meditation
Unless you already practice meditation, you may think it’s New Age nonsense.
But there’s a lot more to meditation than just deep breathing,
Aside from being an ancient practice present in almost every culture that’s ever existed, the health benefits of meditation have been empirically proven using modern science (1).
Here’s how it works:
Energy is everywhere, in living and inanimate matter alike. It is constantly moving.
To explain, atoms comprise everything we see and everything we cannot (e.g., air). Atoms (and their visible and invisible constituents) behave according to their own energy and that of other atoms in their vicinity. They are constantly moving and generating energy.
In fact, this principle governs all matters of life- even your thoughts.
The energy of your thoughts also has a noticeable effect on your body and mind.
The Mind-Body Connection
Consider this: what you think affects how you feel.
How you feel affects how you behave. How you behave affects other people. Other people affect your life experiences. It then makes sense that if you can control your thoughts and invoke a mechanism to turn them to the positive when they are otherwise, then good things will happen.
It then makes sense that if you can control your thoughts and invoke a mechanism to turn them to the positive when they are otherwise, then good things will happen.
It is true that no one wants to be with someone who’s in a bad mood—the inverse is also true!
The energy of emotion can’t be denied. It’s not something you can touch or see but every human generates and absorbs it and it has profound effects on us everyone around us.
That’s where meditation comes in.
Positive Energy Meditation
The practice of meditation serves to remove yourself from your circumstances to connect with your authentic self.
Follow the step below to free yourself and create new positive thought-emotion-energy connections.

1. Sit Comfortably
To begin, sit tall with your spine straight and close your eyes. Focus on breathing deeply through your nose. As you breathe deeply, let go of all things on your mind. Simply be in the moment.
As you get more grounded, put more intention in your breath by slowing it down. With every inhale, breathe life into every one of your cells. As you exhale, push out all the air from your lungs and the negative thoughts from your mind.
2. Press the Center of Your Forehead
This region, known as the third eye, is meant to stimulate the pineal gland. Part of the endocrine system, the gland is responsible for secreting hormones that affect your emotions and sleep cycle, among other things (2).
With your index finger, press the center of your forehead firmly for a few seconds as you continue to control your breath. Next, release and return your hand to a resting position.
3. Visualize an Eye at the Center of Your Forehead
To continue, envision the “third eye” at the center of your forehead opening and allowing light into your mind.
As it begins to open, visualize yourself on your life path. Imagine the goals and dreams along your path. Realize that they within your reach, that you are capable of manifesting all your wants and needs.
4. Envision Success
Use your imagination to call to all your senses and envision your success as realistically as possible.
Don’t be afraid to be as creative as possible and try to feel that you are living your dreams right now. Imagine that your mind is a place of peace and calm, where energy flows freely.
While you breathe, give yourself the freedom to enjoy and relish this success. When you are challenged by life, return to this moment and remember that success is on its way.
5. Quietly Affirm
Take your visualization to the next level by stating your wants and dreams aloud.
Start your sentences with “I am”, “I have”, or “I attract”.
Use the present tense to express your desires for the future. Actually, visualize that you have already achieved these goals.
Be firm and specific about what you want to attract. Above all, repeat it as many times as it takes to truly believe in yourself and your ability to meet your goal.
6. Return to Your Visualization
Return your focus to your path and the goals that run along it.
Give details to your visualization. What does it look like? How does it taste?
Imagine yourself living your true calling and enjoying every minute of it.
7. Attach Positive Energy/Feeling
Pay attention to how you feel during your visualization. What does success feel like to you?
Hold onto that happiness and let in multiply in your heart. Feel the heat from your heart spread through your body, relaxing your muscles and opening up your smile. Bask in this joy for as long as you need.
8. Close the Visualization with Gratitude
Quietly say aloud at least 5 things you are grateful for in your current life. You can return to these 5 things throughout your day to refocus your energy in a more positive direction
9. Return to Your Breath
Lastly, keep breathing and let your visualization fade. Keep your mind empty for a few breaths.
Then, when you’re ready, open your eyes. Stay still and keep breathing until your body slowly transitions out of the meditation. This may take a few minutes so stay patient and keep the newfound happiness in your heart.
If you wish, practice this positive energy meditation every morning to fill yourself up with joy and hold onto throughout the day. Thus, your day-to-day actions will be filled with good intentions and good energy.
In response to daily practice, your dreams will begin to feel more attainable and you will feel more confident in pursuing them.
In the words of Mahatma Gandhi:”Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny.”
In short- “What you think, you become.”
