Studies have found that eating a diet that focuses on foods with a low glycemic index (GI) can lead to more significant weight loss than conventional diet plans. Primarily, GI diets emphasize whole foods that do not lead to spikes in blood sugar.
Raw food diets aren’t technically a weight loss plan, but it’s highly likely that you’ll take off some pounds if you switch to a primarily raw diet, simply because it presents a chance to cut out so many sources of calories, sugars, and fats.
Here, the focus is on getting to eat essentially as much as you want – as long as the foods are low-density. Because followers can eat large portions of veggies, fruits, fibrous grains, and other low-density food groups, they tend to report feeling full and satisfied with minimal cravings.
