Most people have a hard time getting enough greens in their diet. This is either because:

  • They don’t know how to cook leafy veggies
  • They simply don’t like how they taste

The following recipes will give a boost of flavour to your greens. Best of all, they’re easy and can be done in under 10 minutes.

1. Easy Greens Recipe

This recipe is a quick and easy way to get some greens on your plate. Enjoy as a side dish to your favourite meal.


  • 1 bunch dark leafy greens e.g. spinach, kale
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • Chilli powder, sea salt, garlic powder


  1. Wash and dry the greens.
  2. Cut greens into bite-size pieces
  3. Sauté until bright green
  4. Add seasonings until satisfied.
  5. Serve & Enjoy!

2. Chipotle Kale Chips

Kale chips are a healthier alternative to corn chips. Enjoy as a crunchy and filling snack.


  • 1 cup chopped kale leaves (stemmed)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon chipotle chilli powder


  1. Preheat oven to 425°.
  2. Toss kale with olive oil and seasonings.
  3. Spread kale evenly on baking sheet.
  4. Bake until brown (between 5-8 minutes).

3. Creamy Coconut Chard

This vegan recipe can easily be spiced up with some curry paste or turned into a smooth béchamel.


  • 1 bunch swiss chard
  • 1/3 can coconut milk
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 lemon
  • salt to taste


  1. Melt coconut oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Rinse chard well and chop with stalk included.
  3. Add chard to the pan and cover it up.
  4. Let it cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add coconut milk, lemon and salt and stir.
  6. Let cook for a couple more minutes and serve.

4. Thai Peanut Spinach

This comforting and spicy dish will heat you up from the inside out!


  • 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1-3 Tablespoon Sriracha
  • 2 Tablespoon peanut butter
  • 10 cups spinach leaves
  • 1/2 a lime
  • ¼ c crushed roasted peanuts
  • fresh cilantro and lime wedges to serve


  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over low heat.
  2. Add the Sriracha and peanut butter.
  3. Turn up the heat to medium low and combine ingredients.
  4. Turn up heat to medium and add spinach.
  5. Add lime juice and peanuts.
  6. Cook until spinach is wilted, stirring often.
  7. Serve with cilantro and lime wedges.
  8. Serve as a side dish or over rice.

5. Chard Fruits And Nut Warm Salad

This salad makes a yummy light meal or a delicious appetizer.


  • 1 bunch Swiss chard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Hungarian pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 3 tablespoons golden raisins
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


  1. Clean chard and remove stems (keep them aside).
  2. Cut leaves roughly 1-inch wide, 2 inches long.
  3. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  4. Once hot, add garlic, pepper, almonds and chard stems.
  5. Cook 3 minutes and stir often.
  6. Add raisins, salt, black pepper, lemon juice and leaves.
  7. Cook 2 to 3 minutes and keep stirring.
  8. Serve & Enjoy!
