3. A Regular Chair
You don’t need anything fancy here – just a regular four-legged, sturdy chair. This household piece of furniture works great to support the average person as they practice tricep dips. Just be careful not to use plastic chairs because they are more prone to breaking.
4. A Scarf or Head Wrap
Maybe it’s winter and you have scarves lying about your bedroom. Or maybe it’s summer and they’re all packed away. Well, start unpacking because you can easily use a scarf as a yoga strap.
A scarf or head wrap can be used to help hold yoga poses or to assist you while stretching. Either way, make sure you are in an open area so that you avoid accidentally knocking into anything.
5. Deck of Cards
It can be hard to stay focused without a trainer there to keep you encouraged. Luckily, if you have a deck of cards in your house, you can have a silent trainer on standby.
Assign each card an activity; for example, diamonds are jumping jacks while hearts can be lunges. Or if you have multiple exercises you’d like to try out, assigns workouts by number rather than suit. Remember to keep it fun!
6. Bathroom or Beach Towel
Using a towel as a yoga mat can help keep you centered and avoid having sweat hit the floor. If you’re on hardwood floors, try using two towels to add more padding.
