These following recipes are easy and quick to make. Drinking as little as 2-4 ounces of these juices at the beginning of your day can make all the difference.
1. Apple Cider Vinegar
This vinegar is full of probiotics. It helps balance out the acid effects of emotional stress as well as sweet and processed foods.
1 tsp of apple cider vinegar will ease sore muscles, lighten headaches and speed up slow digestion. Drink it straight or try the recipes below.
- 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar
- 2-4 ounces of water
- Crushed ice
Mix in a small glass and drink cold.
Here are a few other combinations to try:
(A) Lemon, Cayenne & Apple Cider Vinegar
Cayenne does wonders in boosting digestion, reducing pain, and supplying energy (4). On the other hand, lemon is alkaline, which strengthens the effect of apple cider vinegar. It also gives a quick rush of vitamin c.
- ¼ tsp fresh lemon juice,
- 1/8 tsp. Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. Apple cider vinegar
- 2 ounces of water.
Combine ingredients and stir well.
(B) Ginger, Lemon & Apple Cider Vinegar
This recipe does wonders for digestion. Ginger works to relieve nausea, indigestion, bloating, inflammation and constipation (5). In combination with apple cider vinegar, lemon lowers blood pressure (6), reenergizes the body and clears brain fog.
- 1/8 tsp ginger,
- ¼ tsp fresh lemon juice,
- tsp Apple cider vinegar
- 2 onces of water
Mix in a short glass, drink immediately.
2. Green Juice
This recipe is full of magnesium and vitamin C. It will help wake up your muscles and reduce inflammation. Just make sure to use whole, fresh ingredients. Processed juice will likely have sugar, which is acidic.
- 1 head romaine,
- 1 lemon,
- 1/2 inch ginger,
- 1/2 a cucumber.
Place ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
3. Spirulina Smoothie
This smoothie is a great way to wake up your metabolism. Spirulina is a nutritional powerhouse. The combination provides vitamin C, iron, potassium and B vitamins. Drink entirely with your favourite plant-based protein for a complete breakfast.
- 2 cups raw spinach
- 1/4 cup frozen berries
- 1 slice ginger
- 1 tsp spirulina
- stevia (optional)
Combine in a blender and drink cold.
