3. Healthy Mac and Cheese
Macaroni and cheese is one of the most classic comfort foods of all time. This light and healthy mac and cheese recipe uses Greek yogurt in place of heavy cream for a much lighter and more flavorful dish.
For this recipe, use whole-wheat macaroni noodles and low-fat cheddar, with the added flavors of dry mustard, onion and garlic puree, and a dash of cayenne pepper.
4. Yogurt Brulee
This recipe for Greek yogurt brulee is one of the simplest recipes of all time, with only two or three ingredients: yogurt, sugar, and optionally fruit or berries. The procedure is just as simple.
All you need to do is place the berries at the bottom of a small shallow dish, add the yogurt on top and then coat the surface with sugar. For the “brulee,” torch the sugar on top or use a broiler until it caramelizes into a crunchy golden-brown crust. If you want, you can even add more berries on top.
5. Healthy Deviled Eggs
Deviled eggs are a favorite picnic or party food, but they are usually made with mayonnaise, which is heavy and oily. This recipe for healthier deviled eggs uses Greek yogurt in the place of mayonnaise.
After hard-boiling the eggs, peel and cut them. Remove the yolks and mash with mustard, salt, pepper and Greek yogurt. Place the mixture back into the hollowed out egg whites and garnish with paprika for classically delicious deviled eggs.
