When it comes to working out, quality should always be prioritized over quantity.
And while most people opt for long workouts to get into shape, consistently working out for 15 minutes every day is all you need to tone your legs and glutes.
It’s no secret that sitting at a desk all day causes your lower back and leg muscles to weaken, bringing about back pain and posture problems. That’s why it’s important to stay in shape and keep moving.
If you don’t have enough time to do a full-body workout every day or you simply can’t afford a gym membership, just lay down on your yoga mat and get those legs moving.
In the video below, fitness expert, Le Jon Guillory, shows you how easy it is to get a good workout using only your own bodyweight and a bit of determination.
His kickboxing-inspired workout requires no equipment or specialized training, but it’s important that you keep your body properly aligned throughout the routine. If one of the moves doesn’t quite feel right or causes pain, take the time to readjust yourself and get into the right position.
As with any other workout, if you don’t control your breath, keep your back straight, and tighten your core, you can end up doing a lot more damage than good.
To prevent injury, start with one set of exercises for each leg and gradually work your way up to 2-3 sets. You can also lower the quantity of repetitions for each exercise. Remember, properly controlling your movements is more important than performing them quickly.
Now, get up off you chair and give this quick workout a try, you’ll be hooked!
