Fluoridated water is the norm all across America. Most people don’t think twice about this practice. After all, if it weren’t good for us, it wouldn’t be put in the water, right? Wrong.
The history behind why we suddenly started dumping chemically created fluoride in municipal water supplies is disturbing to say the least. And fake fluoride consumption has now been linked to multiple health issues, including obesity. (Watch the short documentary at the bottom!)
Waking Times reports, “A known suppressor of the thyroid gland, fluoride is a major player in the rampant increase of obesity.” In fact, researchers in Germany and Australia found that bathing in fluoridated water can help cure overactive thyroid.
The problem is, the weight gain from fluoride is so subtle, so gradual, that most people will never make the correlation between the two.
Fluoride depletes the body’s iodine stores. Natural News explains a “Lack of iodine shuts down production of thyroxine, the thyroid prohormone that controls metabolism, and, in one way or another, impacts every aspect of health.
The resulting hypothyroidism causes weight gain, cold intolerance, dry and prematurely aged skin, depression, constipation, hair loss, memory loss, irritability, increased cholesterol levels, heart disease and loss of libido.”
Weight gain isn’t the only health issue caused by water fluoridation. According to FluorideAlert.com “fluoride is an endocrine disruptor” and can affect many things in the body, including the bones, the brain, the thyroid gland, the pineal gland, and even blood sugar levels.”
How To Reduce Intake of Fake Fluoride
To reduce your exposure to this toxic water additive, the most effective thing to do is to remove it from your water. There are drinking water filters as well as shower and bath filters that remove fluoride, thereby protecting your health.
Reverse Osmosis is the most popular filtration method that removes fluoride. Supplementing with selenium, tamarind tea, and nascent iodine can help detox the body. Using an infra red sauna is another effective way to help pull fluoride from the tissues.
“In the end, water fluoridation is an unnecessary and dangerous practice. Dr. J. William Hirzy, vice president of the Union of Scientists and Professionals, asserts: [. . .] we hold that fluoridation is an unreasonable risk. The toxicity of fluoride is so great and the purported benefits are so small – if there are any at all – that requiring every man, woman and child in America to ingest it borders on criminal behavior on the part of governments.”
