11. Wound Healing
Vinegar is used by midwives worldwide to avoid infection after childbirth and to treat viral lesions. While it’s better to use hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, coconut oil or honey to treat wounds, ACV is a respected alternative (6).
12. Insomnia and Fatigue
Prevent daytime fatigue by drinking a cup of hot water with 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon of honey before bed.
This will relax your muscles and detoxify your body as your sleep. The mixture will also help your fall asleep easier.
13. Food Poisoning
By mimicking stomach acid, ACV can help kill the bad bacteria that causes the condition and cures common symptoms, such as upset stomach, headache and diarrhea (7).
14. Ear Infection
Vinegar is one of the most time-tested ways to get rid of a painful ear infection.
To use, combines equal parts filtered water and ACV and use a sterile eye dropper to administer a few drops directly into the ear.
Lie on you side for 5 minutes to let the solution penetrate deep int your ear.
Then, lie down on your other side with a towel over your ear to let the liquid drain.
Use once a day for up to a 5 days to cure your infection (8).
If the condition persists, visit your doctor or naturopath. If you feel constant pressure in your ear, the infection may have already affected your eardrum. In this case, it is not safe to administer any liquid into your ear without medical supervision.
15. Hearing Loss
Vinegar contains essential nutrients like zinc and magnesium, which all play a role in hearing health (9). Potassium also plays an important role in the inner ear by converting sounds into signals that the nervous system recognizes (10).
As you age, make sure to take ACV several times a week for best results.
