#17. Cereal

While not all cereal is terrible, the truth is, most are. Those brands that children love are mostly just made out of sugar and contain very little to no fiber. You are not going to be satisfied and instead may be prone to overeating. Plus, when you count the milk, your blood sugar can spike almost immediately. Try some of the high fiber ones, like Cheerios, or Shredded Wheat, but if possible, avoid it.

So, now you have no excuse to not take control of your blood sugar, as this list of foods is extensive. Don’t worry, though, by making a few tweaks to your diet, you will regain control in no time! Always be careful with hidden sugars in those foods advertised as healthy. And remember; take a close look at labels. When in doubt, go for the homemade version of your favorite foods!
Being diabetic doesn’t mean not being able to eat your favorite foods; it just means that you should be a bit more careful. Everyone should be anyway!
