No, THANKYOU! It took awhile and a lot of bad "life style" habits to change, but guess its never too late. Anyone reading this? do not think for a minute I couldn't go out right now and put away a extra large double cheese mushroom, with a double order of mild chicken wings!
I am asked how I got this far by family and friends and neighbors...and my reply: Its in the finger!"
Happy Holidays!

Almost a year to the date, my doctor had found my glucose at 128 (following all fasting procedures for morning testing). The concern was it was on a upward trend, so I was put on a glucose monitor system, 1 reading in the morning , and a second one 2hrs post dinner. With the new diabetic charts as a guide, I try to maintain fasting of less than 100, and less than 140 two hours post dinner.
I lost 30lbs in the process, on the average my AM readings have been around 97 and my PM readings just about 100, as I keep a spreadsheet to monitor my spikes and valley's. I guess life style change was the operative words for me, my job wasn't exactly a 9-5 kind. My last A1C reading have been 5.6 with a average glucose of 114. Considering all the above, I feel better, have more energy, as for memory? I haven't really been tested so the jury is out on that.
I am 62yrs old, 6'3" tall and weigh 183lbs, which puts me in the good range for BMI. You can put the numbers together for the 213lbs all the other factors included.
